TOUR DU MONT BLANC

The Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) is one of the world’s most iconic long-distance hikes, circling the Mont Blanc massif through France, Italy, and Switzerland.

Spanning roughly 170 kilometers (105 miles) with over 10,000 meters (32,800 feet) of elevation gain, it typically takes 7 to 12 days to complete.

The trail winds through charming alpine villages, across scenic valleys, and over dramatic mountain passes—many of which you’ll climb each day.

While some days are more relaxed, others can be physically demanding, so preparing properly is key. Most trekkers walk counterclockwise, starting in Chamonix or Les Houches.

Along the way, you’ll stay in mountain refuges, local inns, or hotels, and enjoy hearty meals after long days on the trail. No guide is required, but early reservations for accommodations are essential, especially in peak season.

The TMB offers a breathtaking journey for hikers looking to experience the heart of the European Alps.
